SEASONINIGS TO STAY AWAY FROM
Hi guys :) In my last post, I shared with you seasonings which are healthy to use
in your day to day food preparations.
A lot of families enjoy their meals highly seasoned and indulge
themselves in adding these flavours to their food preparation.
These seasonings which I will mention shortly increase the risk for
hypertension, cardiovascular and kidney diseases. Scientific evidence has shown
they have also been related to increasing the risk of various cancers.
STAY AWAY FROM…..
1. Soy sauce
2. Vetsin
3. Hoisin Sauce
4. Oyster sauce
That's it for now folks . If we as caregivers and parents can start throwing these out , then we are indeed Creating heathy eating habits for our kids .

After reading this post i honestly learned a lot. I didnt knownof the oyster sauce effects until now. Yet again a very informative piece. This is very benificial to everyone. Very well done on presenting this important note on seasonings.

ReplyDeleteHi Cherisee safest bet at this time is to use olive oil for you chunky vegetables. All of the Chinese seasonings and sauces has over 2300mg of sodium ( salt) .
DeleteWhat about the chinese seasoning and fried rice and vegetable seasoning? Do those have the same effects?
ReplyDeleteHi Kavita, more predominantly the Chinese seasonings. These contain monosodium glutamate ( MSG) which increases your risk and your childrens' risk for high blood pressure and as well research has shown that it is in fact a cancer causing agent. So safest bet will be to stay away from those as well.
